Without having your family and friends around, you might find yourself spending more time looking at screens than you normally do at home. So to ensure that your use of devices doesn’t mess with you, make sure you’re using your devices in the most ergonomic way, which will cause reduced strain on your hands, neck, back, and eyes. In fact, Nancy Trejos, a contributor to USA Today, shares that when you’re not actively doing work, you really should be using your devices to keep in touch with the people you love back home. This can help to recharge you emotionally and keep your spirits high.
Get Your Body Moving
One of the best ways you can take care of your body when you’re traveling for work is to try to stay active. While this can be challenging when you’re on a short trip that’s packed with work activities, John DiScala, a contributor to Inc.com, recommends trying to just use what you have readily available to you to get in a bit of exercise. If you’re staying in a larger hotel, try to take the stairs instead of the elevator. When you get a break for lunch, walk to a restaurant rather than taking a car.
